Legacy of Justice Circle: Planned Giving

The Legacy of Justice Circle recognizes thoughtful donors who have joined the fight for justice by making a planned gift to support Community Legal Aid. Examples of types of gifts Legacy of Justice Circle members provide include:

• A bequest in a will or living trust
• Designating Community Legal Aid as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, life insurance policy, or endowed fund
• Other less common planned gifts like charitable remainder trusts

Remembering Community Legal Aid in your will or estate plan will help change lives for generations to come. To assist you in this process CLA has compiled examples of testamentary language for leaving assets to us in your will. If you’ve already included, or intend to include, CLA as a beneficiary in your estate plans you can let us know by filling out this confidential legacy intention form. The Queenan Fund

The late Honorable James F. Queenan (Ret.) served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts from 1986 to 2000, sitting in both Worcester and Springfield. In 2011, he gave Community Legal Aid a generous gift of $25,000 to create The Hon. James F. Queenan Legal Services Fund at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, designating Community Legal Aid as the permanent beneficiary of annual grants from the fund. 

Peter Benjamin and Elizabeth Bramson

Peter Benjamin and Elizabeth Bramson are making sure that the mark they leave is indelible. They have established a fund at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts to provide charitable support to CLA in perpetuity.
