Northampton Mayor: End to Community Development Block Grant money would be major loss

According to Northampton Mayor David Narkewicz, ending Community Development Block Grants would be a big mistake:

In the area of public services, we’ve used CDBG to help support a wide range of local agencies serving low- and moderate-income residents including the Grove Street Inn Homeless Shelter, Interfaith Emergency Homeless Shelter, Manna Soup Kitchen, Northampton Survival Center, Casa Latina, Community Legal Aid, the Center for New Americans, and Highland Valley Elder Services.
