Before joining Community Legal Aid, Nuri worked directly with teen survivors of sexual and relationship violence after serving self-identified victims of crime more broadly. Though they are a historian by trade and practiced public history in the field as a National Park Service Ranger, museum professional, and peer-reviewed blog editor, Nuri’s professional trajectory led them to law school. In August 2020, Nuri started as a part-time evening student at Western New England University School of Law and hopes to focus on their passion for social justice and civil rights work. Nuri is a member of the board of COSA and a Paralegal & Coordinator at Gender Identity Validation Services, Inc. (GIVS).
