Stella has worked in both the public and private sectors, as an economist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a Manager of Regulatory Affairs at a telecommunications company, and as a Consumer Law Public Service Fellow for the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. Before joining Community Legal Aid’s COVID Eviction Help Project in 2020, she practiced as an associate in a small law firm focused on advancing shareholder rights to advocate for social justice issues at Fortune 500 companies. Stella first developed her passion for representing tenants at risk of homelessness through volunteer work as a Lawyer for the Day in the Western Housing Court. She is a member of the Tenant Advocacy Network and the Hampden County Bar Association.
