During law school, Tanya focused on public interest law and was a student clinician in the Housing Law Clinic. In the Clinic, Tanya helped low-income residents avoid eviction and resolve landlord-tenant disputes. This experience is what led her to a career in legal aid and to the Bart Gordon Fellowship.

Tanya was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to true-crime podcasts, and watching scary movies.
