Thomas’s first experience in public interest work was as an intern for the Legal Services Corporation’s Legal Aid Chicago. After college, he served for a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. Thomas then moved to Nashville and worked for two years as an advocate at Disability Rights Tennessee. In law school, he spent his first summer interning with a federal judge and his second summer interning with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Thomas joined Community Legal Aid in 2021.
